Yurt

The yurt was set up on the 14 of August 2007.

Perched on 20 meters altitude above the road leading to the hamlets of Tourres, the yurt can be reached in fifteen minutes by a marked path in the middle of oaks, pines and boxwoods. Facing south, it is located on a site charged with history and surrounded by breathtaking views.

The excavation works which required the extraction of 25 cubic meters of rock and soil were made without any mechanical assistance. 1300 kilos of larch wood were lifted to the site on the men’s backs to make a terrace of 50 square meters on which the yurt is now placed.

The yurt can accommodate up to 4 persons (one double bed and two single beds are available) in a warm and cosy atmosphere where the wood stove contributes a lot during winter evenings. Its tenants can use the sanitary facilities of the dormitory and the restaurant if desired.
